Alqueria De Hurdes

We keep finding more to love about this place on each visit, and this was our second time. The peaceful setting and lovely views make it hard to beat, with great walks and nearby natural pools for a swim. The house is fantastic, and Vicky was so caring and attentive. We’ll be back!

Four days here was just what we needed to switch off. The village’s natural pool was lovely and refreshing, and the place itself is wonderfully peaceful. The views are spectacular, and from the terrace at night you can see the Milky Way if the lighting conditions are right.

We were there over the May bank holiday weekend and had a fantastic stay. The balcony views were incredible, especially first thing in the morning, and the apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. Gema’s recommendations were great too. We’d never had cheesecake like the one at Castúo restaurant, it was divine! Thanks for everything, Carmen and Gema. We’ll definitely return. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

Carmen was such a kind, attentive host and told us about the walks, places to visit, and activities around the area. The house was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and had lovely details throughout. We especially enjoyed the terraces, having breakfast there over the valley and barbecuing with family and friends while taking in the scenery. There’s also a beautiful secluded natural pool very near the house, right in the village. We came to disconnect and enjoy nature, and the stay exceeded our expectations. We’ll be back very soon.
