The interior terrace was really pleasant, and the food was tasty. Service was good too, though the prices could be lower. A few things felt off this time: no tablecloth, cutlery arriving after the meal, and what looked like little bits of food in the wine bottle. The place seems to have changed a bit.

Sole and Nieves made me feel very welcome, always kind, warm, and attentive. My homemade breakfast included whole-wheat toast, local “viajeros” biscuits, and plum jam they’d made the afternoon before. The setting is properly rural and peaceful, with clean, tidy rooms and bathrooms easy to reach from the rooms. A lovely overnight stop for hikers or anyone passing through.

The portions were generous and the prices good, and everything came out quickly. The waitress was so friendly and the service stayed very good throughout lunch and dinner. I especially recommend the fried cheese. Amazing place in Caracenilla.

The meals were superb, excellent quality and such generous servings that we could have seconds at both dinner and breakfast. Nieves was lovely and kept checking in, and Solé made sure we had everything despite her age. Manuel also helped us with the barbecue. The hostel itself is quiet, with several rooms and bunk beds. The owners’ hospitality was a real bonus: they suggested places to visit and alternative routes we hadn’t planned. There are walks and bike routes nearby, plus the Route of the Faces in Buendía and the Roman mines of Lamis Specularis.
