Hotel el Borbotón

Manolo was always checking in and helped us find places to eat and visit nearby. We were uneasy after reading the deposit complaints, but ours came back in full apart from the water, ice, and glasses. There were 31 of us, adults and kids, and we never ran short of shared space. The big kitchen had what we needed to cook dinner, and the recreation room had a pool table, foosball, and ping-pong. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, with extra toilets downstairs, plus a disco. We had a fantastic family Christmas and plan to return.

Manuel was a huge help from the minute we arrived, and kept us laughing too. We enjoyed three days of music at a good volume without anyone complaining. We left the house as we found it, and he gave back the whole deposit less the agreed cost of water and ice. We'd booked the place for a Carnival costume party after looking around for a country house suited to our large group, which likes to spend weekends dancing. The reviews had made us wonder about the deposit, but based on our experience, those people must have been careless. We'll definitely come back.

Some people in our group noticed bad smells from a pipe in one of the rooms. The walk-in cooler also drips a little. Aside from that, we got what we expected and would return for a bigger gathering. The indoor games lounge and outdoor area gave everyone room to relax, and the kitchen worked well for a large group. Manuel shared local food ordering contacts and had cold beer ready for us on arrival. Our deposit came back in full, less the ice we used as agreed and a disco ball we broke. It was a lovely weekend with family and friends.

Our medieval wedding went wonderfully, and Manuel was there to help however he could. He was always available, let us look around the property a couple of times without any hassle, and came up with plenty of ideas. It's a great fit for a big group. A couple of weeks later, our deposit was returned without trouble, minus what we'd used on water. We'll definitely stay again. Thanks, see you soon!
