BG Hotel Nautico Ebeso

The beach is very close, and the hostel is around 20-25 minutes from Ibiza airport. I stayed here with a friend for a week, six days of it at this hostel. We had an outdoor pool, a gym room, and a sana. Breakfast was very good, and it was a relaxing place to stay.

There are lots of cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, and a staircase about a 30 m walk away leads up to the castle and down to the port, around 15:20 minutes on foot. The hotel is right on the first coastline, with a promenade and seashore just behind it. I took bus number 10 from the airport to the stop Bar. Fenix AV España 101, then walked down the street for about 10 minutes. The receptionist got my paperwork done quickly and checked me in. My room, 805, faced the road rather than the sea, but I didn't hear traffic. I couldn't hear the neighbors either, though loud voices in the hallway did carry into the room. Even the service staff talking out there didn't bother me. The room cleaner was especially nice. She didn't understand English, and would still knock and quickly come into the bathroom to replace my towel and shower accessories, even when the red “do not disturb” card was on the door. I got the impression she didn't understand what the Red Card meant. But she cleaned everything so thoroughly that it hardly seemed right to criticize her. Special thanks to the chef, I really liked breakfast. One thing to know: there's a safe in the room, but you have to pay at reception for its key. I paid 18 € for four days.

We're staying here now, and wanted to share some honest feedback. The reception staff rarely greet guests as they pass, which feels impersonal. At the bar, nobody comes over to take orders, so we've had to go up ourselves. We booked half board, but drinks at dinner aren't included, which caught us by surprise. The welcome drink mentioned in our booking hasn't been provided either. The room has some comfort and maintenance issues. It's right beside the elevator, and we can clearly hear it moving as well as our neighbors and their television. The pillows aren't comfortable, making it harder to sleep. After a shower, water spreads across the bathroom beyond the shower area. There's no kettle, either. The hotel feels dated. The furniture has worn edges and some parts are swollen from moisture, giving the impression the rooms haven't been renovated in quite a while. We hope this feedback is useful, since addressing these things could improve the guest experience.

We booked a street view room, but were given room 201, with a good view of the bar and sea. The bed is worn out, and even when the red sign was on the door, staff came in and started cleaning. After a few nights of music and noise from the pool, bar, and guests until midnight, we went to reception exhausted. They told us to be happy with the sea view because the music stops at midnight, and said they wouldn't move us to another room anymore. I said I wanted to sleep from 22:00 and get up at 6am, but was told, “we can't switch off the music for you”. I wasn't asking them to switch it off, just to give us the room we'd booked. I'm not Spanish, and I wanted to relax. I sleep only four hours a night even at home, so this was especially frustrating. We won't return because of the staff. They upgrade guests who spend time at the bar, but not a couple who comes to relax. Is that what counts for 4 stars? I rate it 1, since no service means no quality.
