The view is beautiful, with the sea on one side and el teide on the other. The staff are very nice, too. The internet isn’t really suitable for working remotely, unfortunately, and the kitchen isn’t well equipped if you want to do much cooking.

The apartments are okay if all you need is an apartment, but they’re dated and there’s no air conditioning despite what was advertised. The place sits at the top of a very big hill, so without the advertised facilities you can feel stranded. It might work well if you have a hire car and just want to explore. LoveHolidays advertised an onsite bar, restaurant, and pool. The pool closed six years ago, and as of 20 February 2026 the restaurant and bar are closed too. If you picked this place because you wanted a pool and bar, you’ll be very disappointed. We’re still trying to sort this out with LoveHolidays. They wouldn’t move us when we asked, then messaged at midnight and again at 5:00 am to say the case was closed because we hadn’t replied.

The little grocery 'shop' with fresh home grown fruit and vegetables was amazing. This isn’t a shiny new hotel, but it’s quiet and peaceful, has everything you need, and the view is incredible. The hosts are truly good people. I arrived late one night in an urgent situation after suddenly losing my spectacles and being unable to drive to the place I’d booked. They were so accommodating and helpful, even that late, and they saved my life that night. Thank you Estrella del Norte!

We only ended up staying here because plans changed unexpectedly, and the room left us unhappy. The bedding was stained and had hair on it, and the towels were old and marked. The double bed was uncomfortable. It was cold in the evening, but a heater cost €5 per night; they also said ironing would cost €1 per item, and there wasn't an iron in the room. The kitchen had no toaster, and there was no shampoo or shower gel. I wouldn't recommend it.
