The worst part of our stay was how uncomfortable and neglected the place felt. The sheets were stained and meant for summer, even though it was the middle of winter. There was woodworm throughout the wooden fixtures, the living room chairs had no cushions, and the shower head was clogged. The water swung between scalding and freezing, and we had to call because they had forgotten to switch on the boiler. One bedroom had no bedside table or lamp, and the two bedrooms were divided only by a curtain, so there was no privacy. The bathroom is downstairs, which meant walking through the whole house to use it, and the varnished spiral staircase was slippery. There was very little attention to detail elsewhere, too. The lighting was dim, with no living room lamps. We got just one replacement garbage bag over four days, and the tiny Italian coffee maker only makes a single serving. There were only two knives, and neither could cut food. The house exterior smelled awful, and access is along a narrow, unpaved road. They do replenish the firewood, at least. We left unhappy with the service from Geli and her brother Manuel. They seemed stingy and inattentive to guest comfort. It was a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend it or return.
