The dining room feels cozy and thoughtfully put together, and the service has always been warm, smiling, and excellent whenever we've come back over the years. We even held our wedding reception dinner here. The food is homemade, so the claims that it is frozen are completely untrue. Since discovering Asturias, we've made this a regular stop. For us, it’s the best restaurant in Infiesto.

The family who run the place were welcoming and helpful, and we ate at the restaurant twice. Both meals were good value. We spent two nights at La Posada de Barro, a small traditional hotel with a bar and restaurant downstairs. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom fittings were modern, and two big shuttered windows looked out over the river. One evening, outdoor diners made it noisy until about 11:30, while on Wednesday the restaurant was closed and the river was the main sound. We came by FEVE train, with an easy 10-15 minute walk to the hotel. We'd stay again.

We stopped for a light lunch. The house salad with eggs and goat cheese was very good, as were the freshly made, tasty patatas con ajo, which were delicious and creamy.
