La Fonda Aeropuerto

Polianna, who was in charge, was so friendly and welcoming, and the locals in Ingenio were very friendly too. Hostal la Fonda was a really nice experience, with a good apartment that had all the comforts. I'd happily stay there again and would definitely recommend it.

For an authentic Spanish feel, this is a lovely place to go. The apartment-style rooms are clean and sit above a real Spanish bar with locals and a nice atmosphere. The owners are decent, friendly guys, and buses to the airport run directly from nearby every hour.

I didn't feel safe at all. We had room 2a, and our trap suggested someone came in while we were out for about 30 minutes buying water. We suspect it was a staff member, though that's not certain. One man seemed eager to give explanation after explanation while another seemed to slip away. Two men outside on the street by the door with some device also struck us as suspicious. The keys seemed to offer little security: the hotel rooms had the same low-security key, and a bathroom key could open several rooms. They said they'd fix it, so test it yourself. Staff didn't speak much English and might not know whether you'd booked online. We also currently suspect we've been charged twice for the room; I'll update this review as the truth becomes clear.

Really clean and had everything you need. The bus stops are close by, with buses that can take you wherever you want to go. Note from February 2018: Bus L11 goes from the airport to the hotel and back if needed for €1,40. The stop is basically right at the hotel.
