Pensión Bowling

I booked on the spot when I arrived with my family, and the price was affordable. The receptionist was really good and helpful. It's only a 2 min walk from irun train station.

For 30€/night for one person, it was cheap, but you get what you pay for. The best part was the teenager at reception, who was friendly and helpful. The room was tiny and so old it felt like a trip back to 1936 to visit your grand-aunt Fernanda, right down to the old mattresses. There was no central heating, only an electric radiator to plug in, and it was a very cold night. I needed both extra blankets from the wardrobe. The 5€ parking was okay, but it's just a personal 2 spaces parking, not a proper hotel car park. Noise carries through the rooms. My Italian neighbours talked and shouted so loudly that it was hard to sleep. The bathroom wasn't very clean, the mirror had a broken corner with apparent electrical wiring, and there was a spider in the shower. Would I recommend it? No.

My first room had a bad bedbug infestation. The woman at the counter was rude and antagonistic when I complained. The hotel and rooms are run down overall, and nowhere near worth the price. The second room had cockroaches and no toilet seat. Absolutely horrible, don't stay here!

Pension Bowling is spotlessly clean. The only downside is how close it is to the tram line to Hendaye. Odin Does Drinks
