Camping Giralda

We ended up liking our pitch near reception, on the swimming pool side, much better than the sheltered one we picked at the bottom of the site, which felt gloomy. The touring area wasn't very busy at first, then filled up over the bank holiday, as campsites do. The site is right by the beach, just across the road. Toilets were clean and the showers had lovely hot water, though the cubicles were a bit small. A seat and more hooks would help, and the shower floor was full of water when I went in, so I mopped it first. There's a mop, but a squeegee would work better. All in all, not a bad site and I'd come back.

Isla Cristina is easy to reach by bike, or on foot if you fancy a decent walk. There are some lovely restaurants, bars and beaches in town. The place itself is really nice, with lots of well kept facilities, including a swimming pool.

Been here twice and I'll be back again. Friendly service and an amazing location for a tent getaway. Dust can be a problem depending on where you pitch, but get the tent facing the right way and you're grand!

We stopped here for three nights on the way to Portugal and enjoyed it. It's a large site, so we drove to the pool and bar restaurant. I'm 75 and my lungs tire easily, and getting around by car worked fine for me. We have two dogs, and across a not very busy road controlled by traffic lights, there's a mostly shaded walk to the fantastic sandy beach. Beach bars are at nearly every entrance, though sadly most only open at weekends until summer.
