Apartamentos Illa de Arousa 3000

I took a chance on this charming place despite the bad reviews I'd read, and my stay was nothing like what those comments led me to expect. The people managing things by phone were great, and online check-in made it easier since I didn't need to collect the keys from the office. The supplies seemed fine for a weekend: towels were provided, one per single bed and two per double, with extras in the closet. Each bathroom had two bottles of shower gel and shampoo. There was also a sponge, dishcloth, and packet of dish soap for washing up. For a week, those toiletries and washing-up supplies might not stretch far enough. The housekeeping requests, like putting sheets and towels in the bathtub and washing the dishes, seemed pretty standard and just common sense. The bed was noisy and a bit uncomfortable, and there were no blinds or shades to keep the light out. Those were the main drawbacks. The island was peaceful, and I'd come back.

The location was good, but the beds were awful and left your back hurting. It also got very hot without air conditioning or a fan, and water from the shower leaked all over the place. They told me to call when I arrived. Then the man who answered, a certain Luis, insulted and attacked me on the phone, and started making unbelievable claims. I felt awful about it, and it was the worst part of my stay. The main office and the other staff were very good and attentive, but unfortunately they don't seem to know what this one individual is like.

The garage was another problem. We paid for it, but there was only one remote for all the residents, so when a neighbor had it, we couldn't get our car out. On the first day we reported that the microwave didn't work, and nothing was fixed despite our complaints. The apartment had no kitchenware or supplies, and we even had to buy toilet paper because they hadn't left a roll in each bathroom. The place was dirty, and both the sofa and beds were nearly unusable. The electric blinds made so much noise that when raised during the day, it was impossible to bear staying inside. The lights were terrible when they worked. The location was awful too. I definitely wouldn't book this apartment again, or anywhere else with Apartamentos 3000, since I imagine the same policy applies across the board. Highly unrecommended.

The location was convenient and quiet, and having basics like hand soap, shower gel, and a hairdryer was helpful. They quickly sorted out both the missing towel and parking keys after we raised the issues. We had booked for four people for one night, but only three sets of towels were left, and although we paid for parking, the keys had been forgotten. The bed and sofa bed were disappointing. The shower curtain let water flood the bathroom, so we had to mop the floor afterward. It was okay for a single night, but the facilities and amenities could use more investment.
