Cabañas Bungalows Camping La Vera

The campsite sits in an amazing spot, and summer is sunny and hot nearly every day. That's especially nice with so many rivers coming down from the nearby mountains. There are lots of beautiful pools along them, where people spend the day swimming in the clear, cool, refreshing water.

We came as a family over the May bank holiday weekend, a bit wary after reading the poor reviews, but our experience was the opposite. Our wooden cabin was spotless, nothing was broken, and there was plenty of shade outside. The children's playground was well looked after, and the staff were very friendly. The lighting stayed on until midnight, and noise was well controlled. We'll definitely come back.

We left with a pretty terrible impression, though luckily we managed to laugh about it. We booked through Booking.com, then on arrival were told parking wasn't included and vehicles couldn't be left near the campsite. It cost €15 per night for a car or €12 for a motorbike. Before our trip, they said they would rent us sheets and towels, but the whole arrangement got confusing. There were five of us in a tiny cabin, with mattresses as hard as rocks. The blankets smelled awful and had strange stains, the bathtub was full of silicone, and there were odd streaks on the walls. When we checked out, they said they'd made a billing mistake and we owed another €60. Because of their error, they said they'd provide sheets and towels free next time.
