Apartment Las Dunas

The location is hard to beat: the apartment is in the middle of Javèa, inside a gated complex, with the beach just across the road and lovely restaurants and shops nearby. The area has a lively feel, with good food and wine, children playing on the beach late into the evening, and little stalls, but it isn't a party place. It's great for families or anyone after a relaxing holiday. The marine is three kilometers up the road, or less than five minutes by car. It was bigger, and there was a big festival when we visited, which was cool to see. We mostly stayed in Javèa because we liked its atmosphere better. We had a lovely outdoor seating area with separate dining and sitting spots. Two big storage tubs held beach seats, an umbrella, children's toys, and other things to use. That was great, since we often end up buying those things and leaving them behind. The pool gate is right outside the apartment, which is very convenient. One thing to know if you have little kids: you can't watch them from the patio because of the privacy hedge, so you'd have to go out to the pool area. Inside, there are two bedrooms. One has a double bed and ensuite, while the other has a single bed and bunk beds. The kitchen was very well equipped, with nothing we needed missing, and even a decent coffee machine. There's air conditioning in the living room, along with a TV with English channels and WiFi. The bedrooms don't have air conditioning, so the fans had to run all night for us to sleep comfortably. Their sound didn't bother us, though it might bother someone else. This is Janie's actual home, rented out during the summer, so it needs that extra bit of care you might not expect with a holiday rental. Janie was extremely helpful and clear in all her messages, and was always available on WhatsApp. She'd covered everything, so we barely had any questions. I'd have no hesitation contacting her if you're thinking of renting the apartment. I'd absolutely recommend Las Dunas apartment for families or couples in Javèa.

We've stayed at Las Dunas Javea twice now. The apartment is lovely and has everything for a perfect holiday. The pool is great, and if the beach is more your thing, it's only seconds from the doorstep. The arsenal is a lovely, busy area, with lovely shops and restaurants. It's great by day and in the evening. I'd highly recommend it.

I had a perfect stay at Janie's place, travelling solo, though really it would be perfect for anyone. The sandy Arenal beach is literally a two-minute walk away, and so are the bars and restaurants. There's a handy little Carrefour supermarket just around the corner. I walked to the Port almost every day, a pleasant stroll of about a mile along the seafront. If I didn't feel like going to the beach, the pool just past the garden gate was a quiet place to relax and read. The apartment had every kitchen gadget I could need for cooking, as well as plenty of beach loungers and chairs. The terrace was lovely for an evening G&T, nicely screened by shrubs and fencing for privacy. And it had a great hairdryer! Only mishap was leaving my duty free on the plane...

The pool is right outside the apartment, and the beach is only a two-minute walk away. Shops and supermarkets are nearby too. We had everything we needed for a complete holiday, and the location was perfect.
