Golden Beach I

We mainly used the apartment as a base, but I left disappointed and probably wouldn't book it again. This is my personal view, not necessarily that of the other three in our group. The €150 cleaning fee up front feels unreasonable when we always leave the place spotless, and we'd never been charged it on our many previous stays here. The furniture makes the apartment feel tired, almost as if some pieces, like the bookcase, came second hand. The double bed wasn't sturdy or adequate for us, and the slats kept dropping out even though we were careful getting in and out. The Wi-Fi was down for the first week and a half. The kettle was leaking onto the worktop before it started shorting and tripping all the electrics. I know faults can happen unexpectedly, and they did bring a replacement the next day, but I feel it should have been checked and changed before it got to that point. For me, it wasn't very good value this year.
