B&B Hotel Jerez

We arrived to find out we'd booked one room for two people, not two rooms for two people, one each. We sorted that out, but then found a cockroach and a few silverfish under the bed. Disgusting. That discovery made me think a lot less of the hotel, very quickly.

A few things could still be improved, but we were really happy with our stay. The room was roomy and comfortable, with a good bed, effective air conditioning and a pleasant bathroom. The staff were lovely and helpful, and there's a secure underground car park. A nice extra was the free coffee and cold water at reception.

The WiFi was the main letdown. It showed a signal, but the connection was so unreliable that video calls, file transfers and even uploading basic images were effectively impossible. That's a real drawback if you're travelling for work. On the plus side, the room was clean, comfortable and practical, and stayed impressively quiet despite a match coming up. The hotel is next to the stadium, with limited free street parking and a paid underground garage. It's modern and eco-friendly, and broadly what you'd expect from a four-star place. Staff spoke English, which helped, though the reception desk was often empty when we arrived and when we checked out. A call bell or closer desk coverage would help. For an overnight stop, it's a quiet, clean and convenient option in Jerez.

The football pitch view made for an unusual room outlook. Inside, it was very basic, all stark white, but spotless. The bathroom had green marble, a full-size tub and a rolling cart that was handy. We were after a clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, European breakfast, free WiFi and free parking on site, and this hotel checked every box.
