Hotel Medina Centro

This was my second time staying here for the flamenco festival in Jerez. I love being so close to everything, and the hotel is very clean. The staff are lovely, helpful and provide really nice service. When I asked to change rooms, they sorted it out on the spot and gave me the best one. It was very quiet, too. For the price, especially during an annual festival, I think it could be the best option in the city. Love it.

The room felt unsafe at night. Around 4AM, someone was yelling loudly while going up and down the stairs. There were three of us grown men, and we had an important professional exam the next day, which made the whole thing especially unsettling. I can't recommend this place. I don't know how authorities let places like this stay open; it seems it should have been shut down years ago. The room itself was in awful shape. The old spring mattress was uncomfortable, the sheets were stained and hadn't been cleaned properly, and they left only half a roll of toilet paper from the previous guests. The bathroom was horrible too. The shower phone was rusty, old, glued and had tape around it, and the shower floor was dirty and full of hair. I'd suggest wearing flip-flops in there. There were cups in the bathroom, but ours had cockroach legs all over the glass, as if someone had used it to kill one or more. The rooms are very old and badly need a major update or renovation.

The shower was my favorite part, with plenty of room, strong pressure and properly hot water. Great after a day of sightseeing. The beds were fairly comfortable, and having a heater and AC in the room was nice. It was a very functional place to stay.

Being close to the train station is a real plus. Parking isn’t guaranteed unless you use the underground area. It’s a decent place for a holiday.
