We were disappointed by how the pool restrictions were handled. We booked the apartment two days ahead, at the end of July, and nobody told us that swimming pool access was limited to two hours a day. The booking confirmation and website did not mention it either, even though the owner had plenty of time to let us know. We paid the full price expecting the advertised facilities to be available, so it felt like we had been misled. To be clear, our complaint is about the communication, not the COVID measure itself. The hours we were initially given were awkward for our schedule, 12h to 13h and 18h to 19h. When we asked to adjust them, the owner replied rather pedantically that it was not her problem. On the day before our last one, she changed her mind and said we could change our hours, but that all guests were barred from the pool between 13h and 16h and after 19h because her family and friends used it then. She said the limits were to prevent too many guests gathering around the pool because of COVID. That seemed hypocritical to us, since one evening at 21h more than 10 of her family members and friends were there. The accommodation itself was okay, though some furniture, including the sofa and the indoor and outdoor seats, was old and uncomfortable. If you are considering booking, ask in advance whether you can use all the facilities, especially the pool, since access details were not clearly shared with us.

The host was unfriendly, and the apartment felt expensive for what it offered. They even charged E 10 for some wet logs for the fireplace. The mattress was harder than I like, so I wouldn't choose this place again.

Dori looked after everything when we arrived, and she was lovely throughout our stay. I also left something behind in the apartment. They sent it to me by registered mail the next day and paid the postage, even though I had offered to cover it. We were two couples traveling with young daughters, and these little cottages among the trees suited us perfectly. Jerte was only 2 minutes away for shops, meals, and sightseeing, while the Los Pilones trail was just 2-3 minutes from the apartment. The location was easy to manage with small children. Each double bedroom had its own well-equipped bathroom and lovely views. There was parking right outside, plus a fireplace, Wi-Fi, heating, and a kitchen stocked with what we needed, including a ceramic hob, dishes, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, and pans. The shared pool was there too, though we visited in winter and couldn't use it. The weather was spectacular, and every service and detail was carefully taken care of. Our stay at Apartamentos Las Palomas was a 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were two couples, and everything was taken care of beautifully from before we arrived right through to leaving. The nearby hiking trails are stunning, and there are excellent restaurants less than 10 minutes away. The location is hard to beat. We'll definitely come back.

The place is really well situated, and it was easy to drive to the villages around it. Dori was wonderful, both in looking after the house and helping us with services nearby. The accommodation itself was fantastic, with beautiful views, good air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a great pool. Even with the wildfires affecting the valley, our plans went ahead without any trouble. We ate out, hiked, visited natural pools, and went to bars for drinks. Everything was running smoothly, and we felt very well looked after.
