We enjoyed the cosy room, the good heating through the cold winter days and nights, and the view of the Pre-Pyrenean landscape. The restaurant's vegetarian dishes were especially tasty and made with ecological products, so I really recommend this place. Mario was a great host, and we'd love to come back. The Tuixent ski lifts are very nearby for Nordic skiing, and in spring the lovely scenery and small rural villages are there to enjoy.

Mario made us feel at home, and we spent a relaxing afternoon reading by the fire in the restaurant. It felt like a comfortable family-run country house. Our basic room was in the Cal Farragetes rooms, just a short walk from the Cal Gabriel rooms and restaurant. Since we were hiking, the simple room was fine, and the bed and shower were both great. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were superb, way beyond what we expected. Highly recommended.

Tuixent had a magical feel and felt like a special place to us. We loved staying at cal gabriel. Mario was a lovely host, and it was so interesting talking with him about the culture, Catalan style and his journey. The room and food were fab, with only local products. Muchos gracias Mario
