I asked for a refund after finding the room covered in cobwebs, with spiders and clear signs it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The hotel refused. I booked for €200 a night expecting a clean, comfortable stay, and these conditions fell far below basic hospitality standards. Staff offered another room, but after seeing the first one, I didn’t feel comfortable staying there and had doubts about the overall standard of the place. At that price, I expected cleanliness and professionalism. I’m filing a formal complaint with the Hygiene Department of the Spanish Ministry of Tourism and the Spanish Ministry of Health. It’s disgraceful for a place in this condition to operate as a tourist product. If hygiene, comfort, and respect for your money matter to you, avoid this hotel.

The pool was a big plus after a long drive, and we enjoyed snacks and wine in the evening. The host was upbeat, friendly, and really focused on guests. The location is surrounded by nature, and the place has the history and character we like. We stayed one night while traveling between Valencia and France. It’s a great spot to relax for a day or two. There isn’t a full kitchen, but that wasn’t an issue for a short stay, and there are two small towns nearby if you want to eat at a restaurant. Highly recommended.

We paid and confirmed the reservation by email, and even sent another confirmation request a couple of days before arriving. The hotel confirmed our stay, but when we showed up at 6:00 pm, nobody was there to check us in. There was an abandoned dog at reception, and we got no reply to email, WhatsApp, or phone. We waited outside in the cold, worried we might not find anywhere else in this fairly rural area. After about two hours, knocking brought no response. We called the hotel, only to hear its phone ringing inside the empty building. After a lot of back and forth between local and state police, we had to call the non-emergency police number to reach the staff. When someone finally arrived, they admitted they had MESSED UP OUR STAY DATES and closed for the night, assuming nobody was staying. As foreign tourists, this was exactly what we had feared. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Please book somewhere else.
