Casa Torres

We had breakfast and dinner out on the terrace and felt right at home. The apartment is in a shared area, but the private terrace is your own, just as shown in the photos. It’s fantastic, very clean, and well equipped with everything you could need. The furniture, closets and paint were all in excellent condition, practically brand new, and the bed was very comfortable. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach. The area felt quieter, with the beach and lively spots close enough to reach but far enough away to relax. The apartment staff were fantastic, very friendly, and answered our questions and gave us the advice we needed. The nearby beach is made of round pebbles rather than sand, though there are a few patches of sand near the Sierra Helada mountain range. The rocky area is great for snorkelling, with lots of small fish and crabs. The water gets deep very quickly, so you need water shoes. When it’s windy there are waves, and when it’s very windy, getting out can be difficult where they break at the drop-off. Older people should keep that in mind, as this generally isn’t a beach for people with mobility issues. There was a lot of noise from motorcycles and cars passing through the surrounding streets. I don’t know how the city council allows it; they should be fined for making so much noise. But with everything closed and the air conditioning on, we couldn’t hear anything inside while sleeping. That noise isn’t the accommodation’s fault.
