Roulette L'Ampolla 3*

The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the location is perfect. Everything was good. Just make sure you go to the right restaurant entrance, as there’s another place there.

Breakfast on the Seaside terrace was good, and the staff were friendly. I stayed just one night and chose the cheaper room away from the sea. It was handy being able to take my bicycle up to the room in the lift, though they didn’t want me leaving it in the small mall behind the hotel for more than an hour. The hotel is decent and centrally located in L'Ampolla, beside the port and about 500 metres from the train station.

The manageress checked our temperatures when we arrived, which was a good touch. Otherwise, the rooms felt small and expensive for what you get, and there wasn’t much to make the place inviting. The food was overpriced and uninspired. I also wasn’t sure about the cleanliness. Even our doorknob was grubby, so luckily we had plenty of wipes.

Our room had an amazing view, and we loved the hotel and the lovely harbour. It was such a relaxing, enjoyable stay, and I’d recommend this place again and again. The one problem was the parking. I left my car on the street and checked with reception that it was okay. They said it was, but I found a parking fine on the car the next morning.
