The food stayed delicious and came out quickly even as a storm hit outside. The staff moved customers indoors and cleared everything away very fast. The owner looked after us and was very kind. Every dish was amazing, and the service was efficient. We’ll definitely come back.

We had a steak that was perfectly cooked and delicious. The restaurant specializes in grilled food, with a good range of dishes done well, and the owner gave us great recommendations. The place was full, but the wait staff handled everything efficiently. It’s comfortable inside and on the terrace. I’d love to return when I’m in l'Escala, and reservations are a good idea since dinner gets pretty busy.

The food is consistently excellent, with very good ingredients and an authentic Mediterranean approach. They cook only what’s needed, letting the ingredients speak for themselves. It’s efficient, genuine, and a pleasure, with real confidence in the cooking. The atmosphere is lively but still feels peaceful, and the service is attentive, professional, courteous, and personal. Alongside the hotel’s already praised service, this restaurant is well worth recommending. I’ll come back as soon as I can.

We nearly missed Taverna de la Sal, tucked just off the main path, and it gave us one of our most meaningful meals in Spain. The food, drinks, and prices were all excellent, but Matt is what made the experience unforgettable. He sat and talked with us, told us about himself, and listened to our story. In a place where service can feel rushed and impersonal, he reminded us what human connection can be. There’s a beautiful hotel upstairs that we hadn’t even noticed. The real heart of the place, though, is its warm, generous, authentic sense of community. Skip the tourist traps. This is where you want to be.
