The location and parking are the good points. Beyond those, the hotel feels long past its heyday and is badly in need of renovation throughout.

The room was spacious, bright, spotless, and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel itself is pleasant and well placed, with a fantastic terrace and parking, a real plus in a town where car spaces are limited. My only small complaint was the bathroom. The shower water cooled down and took a long time to heat up again, and the drain was blocked, so water leaked. I understand they’re renovating it and getting it working again, so I expect those issues will be fixed in time. Otherwise, everything was perfect. The staff were wonderful, especially at reception. We’ll be back.

The location is hard to beat, right in the center of La Alberca and close to everything on foot. Hotel Las Batuecas has a traditional feel and a lot of history. I believe it was the first hotel opened in town, and you can tell it’s been carefully preserved. With the new management, everything feels even better. The hotel is clean, welcoming, well run, and impeccably maintained, so the stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended if you want to experience La Alberca from within and have all the comforts.
