La Alberca is beautiful to visit, but I highly recommend staying outside the village or in another nearby one. Everything there is extremely expensive, and they take advantage of tourists, even in bars and restaurants, where you'll pay more. There were several problems with the apartment. They claim the Wi-Fi is free, but although its name shows up, connecting never gave us internet access. There is no mobile coverage there either. There's no plug beside the bed. On sunny days the apartment gets very hot and has no air conditioning. The shower wasn't properly adjusted and falls down often; it's so heavy that it could hurt you.

Turn the corner and you're right in the square, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The apartments are clean, well-equipped, and nice and warm in winter, with a good price for the amenities. It has a bit of a Spanish TV series "Cuéntame" feel, with a Castilian touch. Some ambient lighting would be nice, but for the price and amenities, it's a good choice.

Right in the center, with heating that worked well, the apartment was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. Miriam was super friendly, and the town is beautiful.
