Masia Ca L'Anima

We've been coming for a few years and plan to keep it up. The surroundings are spectacular and so well looked after, and the welcome is always very good.

There's limited mobile coverage here, which makes it a great place to get away from the city. The facilities are impeccable, with the original structure kept and the inside fully renovated. Every bedroom has a spacious private bathroom. Two donkeys wander freely around the grounds, so keep an eye out for ticks if you bring your dog. In the mornings you can collect fresh eggs from the hens, and you can even fish for trout at the fish farm.

Jordi and Montse are really friendly, and this is a place we'd come back to. We had a very comfortable family weekend. The house looked bigger in the photos, but we didn't need more room. Upstairs, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Downstairs there's a large dining table, a fireplace and heating. The outdoor areas are nice, though there's a slope that isn't suitable for very young children. You can see the chickens and collect eggs, and there are donkeys too. The new fenced pool is ideal for avoiding accidents, with a chillout area beside it. There's also a barbecue near the kitchen, an outdoor dining table, ping pong, a toilet by the tables and a games room. I'd maybe add a canopy over the outdoor table, since the parasol blows away. The river right by the house is in great condition for taking little ones, and there's a nearby place selling delicious sausages.

The lovely surroundings made this a really rewarding stay. Upstairs there are four very spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which worked well for our group in this two-storey house. The little ones had fun with the pair of donkeys and the small chicken coop, including collecting eggs. The owner of Ca l'Anima was very attentive and picked spinach and endive for us from the little garden there. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get away from city stress.
