We had a great weekend with friends and chose the place because it was ideally located for hiking around the Foix reservoir. The hosts were warm and helpful, and José helped us with the barbecue. The garden and pool were great for relaxing, there was even a cooler for our food and drinks, and the house and bathrooms were spotless. Sleep was another story. There were ants in the bedrooms and on the beds, and without mosquito nets on the windows, the insects kept us awake. Breakfast was also very limited, just bread with butter and jam. We even had to ask for the bread to be toasted. Some fruit, cereal, or cold cuts would have made it better. We’ll be back if those issues are sorted.

The rooms and bathrooms were kept spotless, and breakfast came with bread, jam, and coffee. We could also use the kitchen refrigerator. The owners were friendly, and the setting was quiet. Our room came with access to a large garden and pool, and the sea was about a 20-minute drive away.

The owners were friendly, and the views were nice, but we didn’t have much privacy. The house and rooms were very clean. There’s no kitchen, which should be stated more clearly. It’s about a 25-minute drive to the beach, not right by the shore. Bring mosquito repellent, and pay in cash if you can, since card payments cost an extra €3.

The house is beautiful and the area is very quiet. The hosts were friendly and attentive, but our stay was still a 3.5 out of 10, and we definitely won’t return. We’d suggest going without children if you want a decent experience. There were ants everywhere, including the bedrooms, and we woke up because of how many there were. The pool water was cloudy and full of bugs, and it seemed like the pump wasn’t running. They wouldn’t turn it on. Breakfast was basically Bimbo bread with jam and mediocre coffee. We really missed fruit or cold cuts, and with children you’d need to bring your own breakfast. We also found the landlady’s entering our room without warning very intrusive. She opened and closed windows, took our towels, and hung them out in the parking lot. Ground floor rooms have no phone coverage or Wi-Fi. There’s no air conditioning, and opening the window meant letting in more ants. The shower is tiny, and the sink is separated from the room by a shower curtain. Parking means leaving the car on a steep hill. There are shared spaces with a TV, kitchen, and sofa, but the owners are there all day, so they’re not really usable. The beach isn’t close either, at least a 15-20 minute drive.
