We were 12 people for the weekend, and the house felt like two separate homes, one on each floor. The garden is large, beautiful, and well cared for, and the clean, well-kept pool was a big hit. The first day its water was pleasantly warm, but it cooled over the stay even though we followed the owner's instructions and covered it after every use. The location is wonderful, right below Pico de la Miel and close to shops, bakeries, and hiking trails. The living room and fireplace were lovely, and honestly the house has what it needs to be perfect. But several things need attention. The heating in the bedrooms and kitchen dropped sharply at times and left those rooms cold. Cleaning was poor in the drawers, bathroom, bedrooms, and kitchenware, so we ran the dishwasher before using anything. There were used scouring pads, very little toilet paper, and no kitchen scissors; we had to buy more toilet paper the first morning. One friend cut herself, and we couldn't find a first-aid kit, so its location should be clearly marked. Kitchen supplies weren't enough for 13 people. Only one capsule coffee machine worked properly, so we bought another the first morning. They brought a replacement at midday, but it looked very used, chipped and burnt. We called the owner about these issues before writing this review.

The pool is amazing and seems suitable all year, and at first the house looks spacious and fully equipped. But it's been neglected: there was hair on the beds, the pillows were very yellow, some appliances didn't work, a headboard had fallen, the shower drained badly, and a broken chair nearly made someone fall. A bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance, or simply replacing things like the sheets and pans, would make it ideal. I'd gladly return if they sorted those problems, but as things stand I don't think I will.

The location, pool, and garden were the only parts I liked. The house could be fantastic with some care, but the poor cleanliness really spoiled our stay with friends this weekend. Everything was quite dirty, and we had to wash the kitchenware before using it. The pans had old grease all over them and smelled awful. The coffee makers didn't work properly apart from the capsule machine. I cut myself, but there was no first-aid kit, or at least we couldn't find one because it wasn't clearly marked. The person managing the place was quite unpleasant.

The house was generally fine. The pool is a good size, though the water wasn't very clear. I can't tell whether that was due to the chlorine or something else. I'd suggest replacing the BBQ: it's too small when several people are eating, and cooking takes forever. Apart from that, everything was fine.

The garden was lovely for warm weather, and I really liked the indoor pool. The house itself was dirty when we got it and badly needed maintenance. There were ants downstairs too.
