Hotel Carmen

La Cala Town and the beaches are both close by, and the morning cafe is a lovely spot for a wonderful cafe con leche. Everyone on the staff is so friendly and gives you a great welcome. Another excellent stay, as always. We'll be back. Hasta Luego!

This place has a real home-from-home feel, with a personal, family touch that's unusual these days. The reception is staffed around the clock, which feels reassuring. Albero and Daniel always give you a warm, friendly welcome, and the staff keep the rooms immaculately clean. We stayed for eight nights last week, our seventh visit to Hotel Carmen. The balcony rooms still have a great sea view, and Martin and the cafe/bar team offer a good selection of food, drinks and Tapas. We're already booked for next year. See you all then, Paul @Nicki 😎

It's a small place, with no pool or balcony, but the beach is only a short walk away, so it works perfectly if that's what you're after. The staff were all smiling and really helpful, and nothing seemed to be a problem. I've never stayed anywhere more welcoming and friendly. If you want somewhere cheap and cheerful, this is ideal. I'd stay again.

I've been stopping at Hotel Carmen's cafe for coffee and tostada during my daily walk for years, but today was disappointing. We waited a long time to be served even though other customers came in and got served. The waiter was particularly rude and abrupt; the waitress was a little better, but the service from both was disappointing. It's still a nice little place for a quick drink and snack. I hope things are back to normal next time.
