Mas La Boella

The staff were friendly and knew their jobs, which helped make this a really enjoyable stop. We stayed a night in a Suite Plus on the way to Valencia and had dinner there too. The old olive mill is peaceful, with lovely, well-kept gardens, though most of the original olive trees have been replaced by vegetable fields. Our room was a decent size and comfortable, especially the bed, and we slept very well. Dinner had a good range of local dishes and wines, all high quality. La Boella was convenient for our route, only two minutes from the AP7 and about ten minutes from Reus airport. Despite that, we barely heard any departing planes. We’d recommend it as an overnight stop on the way south or as a base for seeing the Tarragona region, which is well worth visiting.

We finally had time to enjoy the hotel on this visit, including our room and lunch and dinner at the Michelin-starred 0 km restaurant. Two years ago we only stayed one night, arriving very late and leaving after breakfast, so there wasn't much time to take it all in. This time we were upgraded, which was lovely, even though the room we'd booked was already amazing. The place feels like a fairy tale, and the surroundings are calm and relaxing. Everyone on staff was super friendly and attentive. The gym is basic but clean, with towels provided, and there are Tesla Superchargers and destination chargers on site. I just wish the pool had been clean enough for a swim. Otherwise, it's a perfect spot to unwind, and we'll absolutely come back!

The restaurant deserves a mention of its own. We had some of our best meals in Spain there, and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had. We spent two nights at La Boella, and the hotel was stunning, with fantastic staff throughout. It gave us the peace, quiet and beauty we wanted for a quick break from Barcelona. Definitely one of the best hotel stays we've had.

Getting around was hard after I broke my leg and ended up in a cast, so my boyfriend and I checked in here and stayed until we could fly home a week later. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, and they brought breakfast to our room because I couldn't walk. Our room was amazing, the bed so comfortable, and the surroundings lovely. Every day we went out in my wheelchair to see the beautiful gardens and orange trees. I'm especially grateful to the receptionist for being so nice to us. Even with my broken leg, we made great memories here. Five stars!
