The rooms are fine, and the hotel is right by the beach, but I have to stay here for business and wouldn’t pay for it myself. The breakfast buffet is pretty sad. If you’re alone or travelling as a couple, you’re likely to end up at a table behind glass, facing the buffet with no view. The layout doesn’t seem to consider that guests might be on vacation and want a nice view in the morning, even though the hotel calls itself luxurious. The gym is sad too, and the slippery tiled floor has no rubber mats. A lot of choices here feel lazy and uncreative, with little thought for the guest experience.

The views are the part I’ll remember most. Waking up to the Atlantic horizon and seeing the sun set over the ocean is something special, and those sea views make a business trip, holiday or romantic getaway feel better. Meliá Maria Pita is right on the seafront, with the city’s main attractions, lively plazas and charming streets all within walking distance, while the coastline still feels peaceful. The staff welcome you from the moment you arrive. They’re professional, attentive and always smiling, and their hospitality really sets the tone. For me, Meliá Maria Pita has the best views, location and staff in A Coruña. A real gem for a visit to the city.

The Maria Pita is a good choice if you want to explore A Coruna on foot. The main areas and attractions are walkable, and the beach is right across the street. I’ve stayed at plenty of Melia hotels over the years, and this one holds up. The beds are comfortable, the rooms and facilities are good standard, and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is solid, if not exceptional.

The balcony arrangement caught us by surprise: to reach it, you have to climb a small stairwell to the floor above. We’d booked a room with a balcony and found that setup inconvenient. The hotel moved us to another room, and we still had a view of the beach. Melia Maria Pita is a modern hotel on the beautiful western bay beach in A Coruna, Spain. We used the hotel parking, enjoyed an excellent free breakfast and had good service. It’s a great place to relax in A Coruna, Spain.
