Hotel Rural Cerro Príncipe

The patio was a favorite, with pleasant jazz playing and a lovely setting for breakfast. The food was good too: generous portions, tasty coffee and juice, delicious migas, tomato, and excellent apples. It’s a gorgeous old building in a quiet village, with wooden ceiling beams, stone columns, and jazz sculptures all around. The whole place feels like an authentic jazz museum. Our room was named after a musician and was beautifully decorated, with air conditioning, a TV, and a super comfortable bed. Louis Armstrong’s room seemed to have the most beautiful bathroom I’ve ever seen. Such an amazing stay, 10/10!

It looks like an ordinary townhouse from outside, but inside it feels like a jazz museum in a medieval castle. A magical spot in the middle of nowhere, with so much care put into every design detail. Definitely recommend visiting.

The garden where we ate breakfast was such a calm oasis, and our Suite Ron Carter was huge and very comfortable. We also loved relaxing in the jacuzzi after exploring the area, including Mérida. The converted farmhouse has been decorated with real care and style. We barely saw our hosts, just briefly at arrival and again when paying on the morning we left four days later. We had to wait a while before the door was opened, too, and it left us feeling they didn’t care much about their guests. Breakfast was another disappointment: basic, the same every day, with no fresh orange juice or cheese, and toasted bread that seemed defrosted. With those things improved, the stay would have been perfect. For a meal out, Bar Alhambra is within walking distance. It’s a great little local place with good food and g&ts.

A cozy place with vintage charm and a strong jazz theme. The rooms were comfortable and had private bathrooms, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended!
