Hostal Margarita

Jesus was an excellent host and speaks very good english. He recommended a great restaurant and churro bar just minutes away. The clean, roomy rooms are in a good location, less than 10 minutes from the border, with parking spaces outside the hotel. There's free tea and coffee too. I'd definitely stay again.

After a long day walking around spain and climbing steps in gibraltar, this is just what you need: decent budget accommodation with clean rooms, a nice-sized en suite and friendly, easygoing staff. The only problem was the beds. Two singles were pushed together as a double, and waking up in the gap wasn't comfortable. Still, it's a brilliant place and I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff were lovely, and my room was very clean and secure. There was a pretty little patio outside the window. It's close to the border, and you can walk to the airport and all the major sites in Gibraltar.

It's a lovely, clean hostel, and with little effort it could change its status to a small three-star hotel. The owner was friendly and helpful. It's an easy choice for a night or two, though bigger rooms would be good for a longer stay.
