For a one-star hotel, I think the price is very reasonable: £35 per person a night in May 2026. The rooms were neat and clean, with no dirt or cockroaches. It’s a handy spot for the Gibraltar crossing, about a 10-minute walk, with shops, convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The bus station is only five minutes away on foot. The WC and hot shower were fine, and the staff were very helpful and spoke English. I reckon some of the other reviews are a bit unfair.

There are lots of cafes and restaurants around, so you’ll have plenty to choose from, though the hotel doesn’t have tea or coffee facilities. Reception was really friendly and helpful. It’s cheap, so for what you pay, it’s okay.

It did the job as a place to sleep, but I wouldn’t choose it again if I had another option. The room wasn’t very clean and had a strong cigarette smell. The bathroom was coming apart, with a broken showerhead holder and a toilet seat that was coming loose.

There are loads of places to eat close to the hotel, and Linea has a lovely beach about a 10-minute walk away. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful. It’s about seven minutes on foot to the Gibraltar border, going through the market on the Spanish side.
