The villa itself is lovely, but the cold indoors spoiled much of our stay. The landlords said the heating was on for an hour in the mornings and evenings, which just wasn't enough in winter. The north of Tenerife is colder and gets more rain and cloudy days, and other guests in the apartment rooms complained too, without any result. We had to wear jackets inside, even more than outside once the temperature dropped at night, and even wore socks in bed. We kept the shutters closed from evening to morning to hold in some warmth, which made the bedrooms feel like bunkers. There's no AC that could warm the rooms, so at least an electric heater in the living room would help. The location also wasn't ideal for us. It's far from the main attractions, so we spent an hour or two driving each day just to reach the places we wanted to visit. The complex is at the end of a very steep road, and you need to be an experienced driver for the narrow, steep approach. The motorway noise could be very disturbing at times, and there's not much infrastructure nearby, though a few very good local restaurants are within driving distance. We had to find them ourselves online because the hosts weren't keen to give recommendations. They were friendly, but communication stayed at the bare minimum. Given the price, it made us judge the whole stay more strictly. Maybe winter isn't a good time to stay at the Finca. We paid a lot for a lovely villa that we couldn't really enjoy because we were freezing.
