La Antigua Vaquería

The owners were really friendly and attentive, and they had the heating on before we arrived. We had a lovely weekend at this beautiful country house. The houses were clean and fully equipped, and getting into the city was easy, with no trouble finding parking. It’s a peaceful, charming spot. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks so much!

I liked the apartment a lot, and there was plenty of room. It had a kitchen, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, and a living room with a TV, plus another bed and a cot. The rural house is lovely, with a well-kept garden in the center and apartments in different sizes. There’s also a porch in the garden with tables and a barbecue, just like in the photos. I’d recommend it.

The village is pleasant, but the house needs a lot of upkeep. Since it’s a house and not close to anything, more attention to the small things would make the stay enjoyable instead of an ordeal. The shower is broken, so water gets everywhere and bathing takes real effort. If it can’t be fixed, a note asking guests to be careful would help. The barbecue is badly burned and broken, too. The kitchen utensils look like they came out of the trash. There was a coffee maker without a handle, and we had to make do with three jars of salt. There was no oil or any of the other basic things you usually find in a country house. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it.

We stayed in a studio apartment with our two babies, and I’d be happy to return if we visit Cuenca again. The accommodation has rooms, apartments, and studios, and it’s a quiet, pleasant place just a few kilometers from the city. It’s handy if you want to explore more than the old town, and parking was easy. The village is small, with a church, a restaurant, and just a few neighbors. Each accommodation is meant for up to three people, but with babies, I’d suggest asking the owners whether they can work something out.
