The beach at El Cotillo is lovely, with fabulous water, and it’s kept very clean. It feels safe for adults and children to swim. Since it’s close to the town center, it’s easy to walk back for lunch or to return to your accommodation.

Volcanic rocks break up the incoming Atlantic and leave the water calm, making this stunning horseshoe-shaped beach perfect for bathing.

I liked the sand here, which is a little different from the beaches on the east side of the island. The water is very calm, making it perfect for families with kids, and the beach is lovely for snorkeling.

It’s a lovely sandy beach with crystal-clear lagoons, about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Toilets and showers are near the lifeguard. Since there aren’t restaurants or shops nearby, we brought drinks and food for the day. Naturists and people sunbathing in bikinis are side by side without any problem.

We went in the evening to watch the sunset, and it was stunning. El Cotillo is a beautiful place to visit. The beach is lovely and clean, and our 3 yr old grandson had a great time playing on the sand and in the water. We’ve been here a few times. It’s a nudist beach too 😎
