The heated pool was the main reason I chose Casa Julia Oasis Papagayo, Coralejo on Booking.com for a Christmas break with my children. The listing clearly said the pool was heated, but I was later told it would be closed for maintenance during our stay. That essential facility being unavailable was a major change to the booking terms and meant the accommodation no longer matched what had been advertised. I asked to cancel, but was charged a fee even though the missing facility wasn’t my fault. I consider this misleading and unfair, and a violation of consumer rights. The renovations had been planned for a long time.

OMG, this place is an absolute SH#@ tip. They told us the pool had just closed for maintenance, but it hasn’t been open in YEAR'S. Broken tiles everywhere, the Pizzeria shut down year's ago, restaurants closed, kid's zone closed. I've seen better prison camp's in Mexico. It should be closed down!

This used to be a hotel, but now each apartment belongs to a different private owner. The pool was awful, with filthy water, broken drain grates, and damaged, bent loungers. I didn’t dare go in. The playground, restaurant, and all the building infrastructure were closed, which made the place feel like a ghetto.

I walked through this ‘hotel’ today and it was sad to see. I remember it being in every package holiday brochure back in the mid 2000’s, and apparently it was a great place then. Now it’s half abandoned, with the restaurants shut, and it gives me the fear. Honestly, if you’re from the UK, don’t come here.

It’s peaceful and green, with lots of friendly cats around. The development is really well maintained, with a large pool onsite and a great cafe inside. It’s a bit out of town, but there’s an e-scooter just outside.
