There was an ant problem, and the owner brushed it off as normal, saying ants were everywhere. I don’t agree, since I’ve rented another place in Fuerteventura with no bugs at all. They came for food almost immediately if anything was left on the countertop, and crawled over us too. The apartment is near a big grocery store, but it could get noisy because there’s a bar underneath. It also felt smaller than I expected, closer to 40 m² than 50 m². The bed was poor for my taste, just a basic, light mattress sitting loosely on a wooden frame. It was missing a kettle and teaspoons, and I’d replace the mop with a modern square microfiber one.

The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable, and it’s in a peaceful spot. The kitchen items were the letdown: I had to wash the forks, glasses, plates and other utensils because they didn’t seem clean enough.
