Endless Summer apartment (San valentin)

Problem after problem. Noisy neighbours, cleaners banging doors and waking us at 7am, and cockroaches. Coming back from the beach, we also found construction work right next to our entrance, with no warning. If you want your holiday ruined, go there. Management kept apologising, but that isn’t enough when the same things keep happening over and over.

Good value for the price. The same rooms are run by different people, so the equipment may vary. The place was clean and private, with its own parking in an enclosed space.

The apartment was clean and easy for us to get in and out of with our five-month-old baby and pram. It gets a nice breeze when you open the front door and back window, which felt great with 30°C outside. It’s a really nice place to stay, not too far from Corralejo city centre or the famous Dunes.

***Please stop deleting my review.*** The pool incident upset our daughter so much that, even though this was her birthday trip, she was just counting the days until we could go home. A maintenance worker who lives in one of the apartments repeatedly came over and told our five-year-old she could only keep her inflatable flamingo in the room. She was the only person in the pool each time. He reported us to the resort managers and, as far as we can tell, lied to them. The managers then sent us messages at night for no clear reason. He works in maintenance, not as a pool guard. We also had a washing machine that leaked through its door and flooded the apartment. We reported it straight away, but nobody from maintenance came. The shower water was often cold, too. The apartments use boilers, so a family can use up the hot water and suddenly be left with a cold shower. This should be mentioned in the listing. Stray cats jump up to the balconies and try to get inside. They can reach the first floor, roam around, climb on the beds, and frighten children during the night. To keep them out, you have to leave the windows and balcony doors shut all the time. It felt as if cats had more rights here than tourists. In San Valentin, we got the impression that tourists were simply a nuisance to the permanent residents. I can understand why, with protests against tourists happening in the Canary Islands now. The apartment was clean but very basic, with two sofa beds. One was extremely uncomfortable and definitely unsuitable for anyone overweight.
