Mas Duran

Pedro and Alba were the best part of our stay, warm and welcoming hosts who clearly care about their guests’ comfort. I don’t speak Spanish, but they knew enough English to understand me well. I stayed two nights at Mas Duran with my two adult children and wished we could have stayed longer. The setting is beautiful and restful. The accommodation was clean, more than adequate for our needs, rustic in keeping with the place but modernized too. Breakfast was hearty, with eggs from their chickens, homemade jams, local pastries, sausages, and cheeses. I hope to return soon, and often!

We only spent one night, but it was a great stay and we’d definitely come back. The staff gave us a lovely welcome, the chickens were adorable, and my son loved the playground. It’s very kid friendly, a real hidden gem. We did miss the entrance road at first, though. A bigger or brighter sign would help, but we eventually found it.

The breakfast was a real treat, with fresh eggs from their own hens, homemade yogurt, local cured meats, and delicious coffee. You can tell everything is natural and made with care. Alba and Pedro welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. Their kindness shows in everything they do. The farmhouse is surrounded by unspoiled nature, with animals that are clearly lovingly cared for. The rooms were immaculate and well maintained, with an authentic feel from another era alongside modern comforts. It’s a lovely place to disconnect from work and city noise, and charming historic villages are just a few minutes’ walk away. Our weekend was perfect. I’d especially recommend it for families with children, who can enjoy the safe, beautiful, family friendly surroundings. A true refuge where time seems to stand still and you can recharge.
