Maria looked after us very well. The house itself is cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, and there's a little garden with a barbecue. We loved sitting on the porch for the mountain views and the pretty village. A great base for enjoying the house and the local hiking trails.
We came back for a second year and were just as happy with the stay. Maria was especially kind and attentive again, and people in the village stopped to chat and welcomed us like family. The peaceful setting, lovely house and nature around El Casuco make it easy to enjoy a few quiet days. Maria and her family are wonderful, and we're already looking forward to returning. ❤
We spent the May holiday weekend here with seven people, and Santa Maria de Redondo made it easy to forget the phone and everyday stress. The owners were warm and friendly from the moment we arrived, with the fireplace already lit and everything ready. The house is cozy and has spectacular views over a beautiful village. Bring what you'll need if you're only staying a few days, then leave the car parked and explore nearby spots like Ribero Pintado and the source of the Pisuerga River. I'll be back a thousand times.
We were three couples with young children, and the hosts were very accommodating, offering us plenty of options. The open kitchen and living space was comfortable, and the stone village sits right in the Palencia mountains. The pillows could be better, a bit mediocre, but our stay was more than positive.
The house at El Casuco had all the comforts we needed, and the village was lovely and peaceful, with gorgeous mountain views. We spent the weekend hiking to places like the source of the Pisuerga River, the Painted Riverside Trail and the Tosande Yew Grove, and also visited Potes, Cervera de Pisuerga and several Romanesque churches.
