Hotel Don Juan

The staff were friendly and the food was okay. Our room was clean, and the cleaning was excellent.

We only had one night here, but it was a lovely stay. It was so peaceful, and we enjoyed both the bar food and the restaurant. The price felt very fair for what you get. We tried to book again the next week, but there were no rooms left. Definitely recommend it.

The room was a spacious junior suite with a huge bed and a balcony, and it was very good value. The hotel sits beside a busy road and seems to attract people stopping overnight on their way through. The cafe and restaurant serve decent food. My one gripe was the noise in our room, which was close to the lift.

The room itself was good, but we found the toilet had been used and left unflushed when we checked in. The bathroom bin was full, the towel rail had come off the wall and was on the floor, and the balcony was dirty. There was also paper peeling from the lift wall. We reported the state of the bathroom and toilet, but reception said nobody could come to the room until the next morning. Later that evening, ants appeared in the room. A hotel staff member came with insecticide and a broom, which made it seem like this had happened before. We had booked three nights, but left the next morning.
