Hotel Can Batiste

The restaurant was the real highlight. Breakfast the next morning was excellent too, with a board of breads and pastries at each table, plus individually wrapped plates of meats, cheeses, and fruit to choose from. They even had bananas! At dinner, the sashimi my husband ordered to start was, he said, the best he’d ever had. My sea cucumber was excellent. The rabbit and duck paella was good, if not exceptional, but we still thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our server suggested a wine that paired beautifully, the staff were attentive, and the desserts were mouthwatering. The hotel itself is much larger than it looks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We were here last week, and the food and service were amazing. The tomato with smoked eel was a real taste sensation. Pulpo with potatoes, garlic, and a little saffron was so good.

American foodies, this is a five-star restaurant tucked into a spotless three-star hotel! What a wonderful surprise to have our favorite meal in a month in Spain in this unassuming little beach town.

One of the region’s best restaurants, with an authentic, original menu at a reasonable price. Excellent service and good value for money.
