Hotel Restaurante La Braña

The restaurant was the worst part for us. Staff were disrespectful, and we felt judged and bullied over dietary restrictions and preferences. One person was very rude, while the others did nothing about it. It seemed like mistreating customers might be normal there. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was poor quality with little variety. They list vegetarian and vegan options when you book, but what you get is either plain pasta or a salad. Most school cafeterias serve better food. The room and bathroom facilities were okay, but there was only one bathroom for four to eight people in a room at a snow destination. Of four people in our room, only one had hot water for a shower. This happened to everyone staying at the Albergue, on different weekends. Avoid this hotel and restaurant at all costs.

The rest of the hotel is as great as always, but I’ve never seen or heard anything like this here before. Around 10:30 in the morning, between rooms 100 and 105, I came out of room 102 and heard someone shouting at a room service worker who was just doing her job. It embarrassed me and made me feel for her, and for the other worker who had to stay silent through something unfair. That’s no way to treat people, or even animals. To the owner, please teach your staff some decency. Everyone is equal, whatever their status. What kind of country treats staff like slaves? The light brown skinned woman was very kind and polite, always smiling. I’m sorry this happened, and thank you. Please educate your staff. If someone can’t handle that kind of responsibility over people, keep her from causing harm. It’s against the law.

Fernando is always there looking after you, and the food is great. The location is perfect too. Such an amazing family and the best hosts!

Terrible food, and the employees are arrogant.
