We got to the village at about 1 p.m. to see the church and looked around for lunch. The hostel was listed as a restaurant, but the owner said they only serve dinner, and only to their guests.

A quiet rural guesthouse in a very small village with few residents. The rooms are fine for this kind of place, and the service was attentive when we arrived. Good.

Casa Peiro is a simple former hotel, but I found the beds too short at 1.70m tall, whether it was a double or two singles. The place was especially cold, the plumbing made quite a bit of noise, and the owner switched off the heating overnight. Paying €35 per person made that really disappointing. We could use all the guesthouse rooms, including one with a sauna, but there were no usage rules or price posted. After we used it for two hours, Olga first wanted €300 for two days, then €200, and finally €150. Elsewhere it’s closer to €50 a day. At the end, when it was time to pay, she also said a dog normally costs €50 for the stay and that she was waiving it for us. Casa Peiro doesn’t feel like it’s run by a reputable professional. It’s a shame for the Val de Boí. I strongly advise against staying here, keep walking.
