El Balcón de Nieves

That little woodland trail nearby was a lovely way to get some nature in. The place itself was just right for a last-minute break: near Granada, but it felt far removed from the city. We loved the cozy fireplace, the excellent breakfast, and how friendly and helpful everyone was. We’ll definitely return.

We brought our dog Monty and that was no problem at all. He even made friends with their two golden retrievers, Logan and Duna. The breakfast was fab, and dinner was first class. Such a quiet, cozy hotel, and we loved it. Best hotel ever ❤️

The room was otherwise tip top, though the shower and one corner of the ceiling could use a bit more attention. We had a bat visit our room and apparently liked it enough to stay the following night too. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful about it. Great breakfast and a spectacular panorama. Hope to see you again next time.

We stayed in late September, and the mountain air and views of Granada were a huge part of what made the trip. We took so many photos, and the city looked beautiful both day and night. The property is near Sierra Nevada National Park, so it works well for walking, biking, or hiking. Even if outdoor adventures aren’t your thing, it’s lovely to sit there and enjoy the peaceful setting and views. I can imagine winter would be especially magical by the big downstairs fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa. Their Instagram has photos through the seasons, and it looks stunning year-round. My daughter and I picked this place after moving between hotels and hostels because we wanted somewhere local, comfortable, and cozy. It was exactly what we needed, and a highlight of my 10-day trip through Spain. The owner and staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming. They kept our room spotless and brought fresh towels each day. We’re animal lovers, so the dogs made it even more special. Between them and the views, the stay is one I won’t forget. 10/10, and I’ll definitely come back, maybe in winter.
