Fogar de Breogan

The restaurant has a bit of a Hobbit feel, with a rustic Galician-style interior. The food was really good, and the staff were friendly and responsive. A must-visit, I'd go again 🙂.

The six of us, a group of friends, were all happy with the stay. We slept well and got a good rest. The apartments had everything described, and I'd recommend them to anyone who appreciates a quality stay.

The “hobbit” looking house is pretty cool, and the trip is definitely worth it. Just be ready for a long drive along narrow, poorly paved rural roads, so you'll want a decent vehicle. At the restaurant, skip the buffet plate because it was poorly cooked, and get the steak house special instead. The servers seemed disorganized, so order everything at once. Don't count on them coming around often for drink refills, either. We asked for a to-go box, but it never arrived.

We had a relaxing time here with friends from Ribadavia. The mixed grilled meat came with fries in their skins, salad, house wine, and a nice sauce. Dessert was coffee, a liqueur shot, and baked cheesecake. At 18€, it was good value. The service was fine, and you can wait in the cafeteria with a pre-dinner drink, play table football, or take a stroll outside. The rural setting has its charm, especially the Hobbit-like dining space set into the hillside, which is tastefully designed and decorated.
