It’s a family run hotel, and they looked after us really well. The rooms were really clean and quiet, even though it’s close to the town centre. A little dated, but excellent value.

The room was very simple, but good value for the reasonable price. It was quite satisfactory, though I would have liked it to be a little cleaner. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed staying here as a solo female traveller, even if I am a little long in the tooth! The place was so clean and friendly. I’d booked a balcony room facing the castle, and loved it.

2/10
The receptionist was friendly, but my room was stark and bare, like a prison cell. The view from the window was even worse, straight onto an unfinished building. I can only imagine the other rooms are better.
