After a long day walking the Camino del Norte, I stayed at Hotel Risco and found the quiet room clean and comfortable, just right for a proper rest. It sits above Laredo, directly on the Camino, with beautiful views. For pilgrims, the early dinner is a big plus: it starts at 18:00, so you can eat when you arrive tired and don’t have to head out again. The restaurant is on site, the food was excellent, and everything was ready when I got there. Highly recommend it to anyone walking the Camino del Norte. Arrive, eat, rest, everything a pilgrim needs.

The sea and beach views from this hotel and restaurant are incredible. You can eat or have a drink in the glass terrace and enjoy the view, which is a great experience. The coffee was really good, and so was the staff.

The rooms are comfortable and the views are great. Just be ready for a steep walk down dozens of steps to the town centre.

The view is great, and it seems to be what they’re betting on. We found loads of ants in the room, not just one. When we told reception, who seemed to be the owners, they asked where we thought we were and said it was a mountain hotel, so that was normal. The room cleaning wasn’t the best either, and the prices don’t reflect the reality.
