Hotel Miramar

The service was rude overall, and the lobby bar was poorly equipped. There’s a small pool in the backyard, but the area wasn’t maintained well: the grass was very long, and a table and plastic chairs had been left lying around. Our reservation was messed up, and we were made to feel guilty about it. The rooms were quite dated and not very clean. In one room in our group, there were two fairly large spiders; in another, staff had left a dog’s collar on the bed.

The views over the town and bays are spectacular, hard to beat. But my room had three beds with hardly any floor space, and the soft beds moved around a lot. The windows were dirty and the plumbing was poor. There was a bath, but when I turned the tap to use it, black liquid poured out. There’s no restaurant, and getting back from town means climbing a lot of steps. It’s almost 2 km away. The price is cheap, but it didn’t feel like good value.

The views were breathtaking. Our room wasn’t very clean when we arrived, but by the next day everything was perfect.

A disastrous hotel: very damp and outdated, with no staff and no food.
